Currently, Russia has 17 crematoriums in 14 cities. The highest percentage of cremations occurs in St. Petersburg, Norilsk, Novokuznetsk and Moscow (50-70% of all deaths). In other cities, the percentage of cremations ranges from 10-25%.

Cremation prices start from 7,500 rubles, and the final price depends on the choice of additional services, such as: farewell ritual or additional display of the urn with ashes.

Ashes can be collected at the earliest 72 hours after cremation

The cremation process takes an average of 1.5 - 2 hours. The time depends on the weight of the deceased and the material the coffin is made of (wooden, ecological).

The crematorium in Novosibirsk operates a service for preserving biological tissues (biomaterial) of the deceased - a few hairs with bulbs. The biological material is placed in a special capsule, which is then placed in an urn with the ashes of the deceased person.
